Edwards Ford is a vibrant Small Ford dealer selling new Fords, used cars, light trucks and SUV’s, all makes and models. It has a service division specializing in Ford, and also does general servicing for all makes and models, LP Gas for Fords, and Hayman Reese tow bars for all makes and models. It carries a range of Ford parts and accessories and has just in time deliveries three times a day. The sales department is an agent for Esanda Finance and Ford credit and several insurance companies.

The dealership has a staff of nine and has live computer links to Corporate Head Quarters at Berwick, for central administration and accounting. Edwards Ford is a full financial branch of Edrose Nominees Pty Ltd, which is the holding company of the David Nutter Ford Motor Group. Head Office is at Berwick, and David Nutter Ford has a branch under the David Nutter Ford branding at Pakenham. Edwards Ford is the only franchised dealer in Kooweerup and has a substantially higher Ford market penetration than Ford’s Federal and State shares. Edwards Ford turns over approximately $10 million and group company turnover is $40million.

The Group sells approximately 800 new cars and 600 used cars per annum. Edwards Ford sells about 12 new and 12 used cars per month. Total group employment is approximately 70 people and the company has a policy of promotion from within, and has many long time employees with a high percentage of staff over 10 years tenure. It employs good risk management and OH&S policies and has a high percentage of local and repeat sales and service customers. It also services fleet management organizations including police cars that won’t accept any less than 101% quality service.

The Koo Wee Rup premises have recently been refurbished by a cooperative programme between David and Diana Nutter and landlord Suzanne Jefferies of MAJ Nominees Pty Ltd. Refurbishment included plumbing, electrics, air conditioning, security upgrades tiling and paint.

Edrose Nominees Pty Ltd, the group holding company was established by David and Diana Nutter in 1986. After a career in electric testing, banking and auto technician, David started selling cars in 1971 and has a good understanding of a wide range of cars. David and Diana purchased David Nutter Ford in 1986, the Pakenham Branch was opened in 1999, and Edwards Ford purchased in 2004. The company owns the premises at Berwick and one of the Pakenham premises. Financiers are ANZ and Esanda, insurers are VACC Insurance, a CGU Company. David is Chairman of AADA Vic (Australian Automobile Dealers Association) Board member of VACC (Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce) Board member of AADA National, President of the Melbourne International Motor Show, Member of Rotary, is a Rotary Paul Harris fellow, and was awarded an Australian Centenary Medal for Services to Business and Community.
